Happy New Year from TGM! -
JANUARY 2010
2009 is in the books, and 2010 is
upon us.
As disappointing as 2009 was on a global
scale, TGM had many successes and positive forward
steps.
For that we thank our loyal customer base.
In a year when many companies where scaling
back or worse, going out of business, TGM has seized
the opportunity and expanded its capabilities and
resources.
In
anticipation of our planned building renovation and
expansion, we have been busy installing new high
precision equipment for turning, milling, EDM’ing,
boring and grinding.
“We have expanded both our capacity and
abilities with the addition. 4 axis cylindrical
grinding, Jig boring and Jig grinding machines,
bringing more value added quality into our molds”,
states Vince Ciccone, President of Top Grade. He
goes on to add, “The Demands for thinner faster
running molds is becoming increasingly the norm, not
the exception, and TGM doesn’t just want to keep
pace, we plan to lead”.
TGM hasn’t stopped there, Although TGM boasts
a climate controlled environment, we have improved
on that, and built a special climate controlled
“zone” housing our high precision grinding equipment
where we can more closely monitor and control the
temperature of the enclosed space so that all
components are acclimated and then ground together.
Temperatures are monitored through out the day. Not only do we make sure matching components such as cores
and cavities are at the same temperatures when they
are ground, but even the precision bores on plates
and smaller inserts go through the same process.
The department also houses its own CMM
equipment, further emphasizing push to produce high
quality components.
We have always prided ourselves on quality,
but do not want to sit on our laurels.
The improvement to date and the plans moving
forward all emphasize this.
